How to refuse measurement

Analytics honour your browser's “Do Not Track” signal: if it is on, nothing is collected. The site stays fully functional.

Local storage

The site writes nothing to localStorage. It uses the tab's sessionStorage — erased when the tab closes — for a random visit identifier, where the visit came from, and the analytics state. Details on the Privacy page. The active tab on the lake map and the contents of the search field live in memory for the length of your visit.

Outbound links

The “get directions” links open Google Maps. Tracking then begins at Google, on that third-party site, not here — but it does begin, which is why those links are never triggered automatically.
